The Movement of #EndSars is Important For The Future Of Nigeria

We may be exhausted from #hastags and protests. I am too. Tired of fighting for a country that has gotten worse every year. Tired of marginalization and ridicule in the hands of a few ‘powerful men.’ Tired of this ‘shit hole’ of greed, selfishness, and corruption. Living in constant fear, anger, hunger, pain. You can see it everywhere. Too many problems abeg!

Blessed and cursed. Riches brought to us by nature, but poverty everywhere. Sometimes, we feel #Hopeless, #Exhausted, #Tired, #Sad, #Confused. Kilode, why were we born here!

This anger and apathy is valid! I feel it every day too. Trying to smile and keep off the news so I will not be constantly unstable and disgusted by this nation. This year, I realized I no longer have any Nigerian pride. Abeg, let me also leave here.

The mental agony of six hours of traffic, light problems, dollar rate, bad internet, poverty everywhere is a depressing state for normal living. Let us be honest, there is no pride in being Nigerian anymore because these greedy politicians have taken it all away from us.

Yesterday, I realized that the real power has always been with us, within us, the power is US. This realization is what ‘politicians’ fear the most. And handouts to the poor and a bad educational system is their fuel for keeping us down.

This rising up may not give us all we want today, but we have to keep on rising up as we do in our everyday life! Naija is a fight daily, and this protest is no different! It is not about winning all the wars; it is a flaunt of our POWER. We have to let #Buhari realize that he has no power without us. We need to consistently let politicians know that they will be roasted, accountable to us because they work for us.

As we embark on this fight to #EndSars, let us remember that the real goal is to get our power back from these dreadful, old, senseless, greedy, corrupt, uneducated men who think they can keep quiet while we die. It is to take our future back from these wicked monsters killing Nigerians daily with corruption. Taking and taking. Diverting money for education, healthcare, and infrastructure to feed their well-fed stomachs, their children’s education in America, and their family houses in Dubai.

This fight is poking these slave masters, these warlords. And they are starting to realize that we have the power.

Let us keep on fighting till we have the Nigerian we want.
